So, you have joined the thousands (millions?) of technophiles, early adopters and trend followers -- or are about to -- and have bought an iPhone.
Bravo!
I think Apple is an amazing company with brilliant, innovative ideas. They are dragging the otherwise stodgy equipment market reluctantly behind them. I wish them all the best.
However, for those of you that stood in line or by whatever method now have an IPhone AND HAD A WORKING non-iPhone in your possession I say Shame!
Take a few moments, you are all InfoTech savvy. Find web sites for the major players involved with feeding the hungry in the world. See how much good the US$600 you have, or are about to, spend on an iPhone would do for such a large number of people.
I am not condemning Apple or the iPhone. I am suggesting that if you have a working phone, keep it for the moment. Donate the price of the iPhone you are about to buy to a charity of your choice. In the time it takes you to save up the money to buy the iPhone of your dreams when your current phone dies I am betting that iPhones will be less expensive, have more storage and will do more things than ever.
Cheers
